Diagnosis is important for autistic children, because the earlier they are diagnosed, their chances of improvement and blending into the general society remains higher. Early treatment can bring enormous beneficial effect on autistic children. And yet only about 50% of the autistic children in the preschool age are diagnosed on time.
Autism is evaluated by the behavior characteristics of the children. Children below the age of three years may be diagnosed as autistic if they have any one of the impairments in the area of communication, socialization, or restricted behavior. This is diagnosed in the well baby check ups during the first two years of life, and if diagnosed as such, then they are later screened by a group of specialists. Some of the recent studies have shown that it is now possible to find out if children are autistic from blood samples of infants who are only a few months old. |

If the insurance companys would be alittle more understanding I think that we would be able to deal with the everyday pressure that the situation give us......... |
