Spondylolysis comes first but not always. Spondylolysis is a breakdown or fracture of the vertebral structure called pars interarticularis. Posted on: 08/27/2010 Spondylolisthesis may be-1)congenital 2)isthmic 3)degenerative 4) traumatic 5)Pathological 6)Iatrogenic. It may be Grade 1-100% slip.High grade listhesis(Gr1&2), patients with unstable listhesis, neurological deficit and young symptomatic patients need operative treatment.
