The only way to avoid STD is not to have sex at all. There is no other way. The current prevalence of HIV/AIDS and Chlamydia makes it difficult on today's youngsters. Sexual hygiene is seldom impressed on and one should wash the genital area a few times like you wash your face but don't scrub it with soap etc. It helps to lessen the chances of infection.

the only way is not to have sex at all? maybe u say it coz u are a virgin. trust me, if you experience for the first time, you wont be able to stop! esp if you are with a love of your life. i think the tips of safe sex described above are very good, and its important to get yourself checked by doctor regularly.
