Most stylish women look the same these days. Taut skin, frozen features, stereotyped expressions, similar pouts; it is as if their faces have been photocopied. The villain behind all this is nothing, but cosmetic surgery. With the new age craze on imaging, packaging and beauty, more and more woman are obsessed with their looks and opting for surgical procedures starting from breast augmentation to designer vaginas. Using innovative surgical skills  cosmetic surgeons can reshape your face and body to your heart’s liking. Smitten by faces and figures popularized on ramps, even conservative city girls are thronging beauty clinics and are not hesitating to go under the surgeon’s scalpel. The result – the  women is thrilled and the surgeon is proud of his creation and thinks of himself as god’s gift to mankind  an artist.  However if this trend continues than most women would start looking like ‘beauty clones.’

To some extent the societal pressures have created a standardized criterion of beauty. Botox and Face lift, Facial fillers, Breast augmentation, Rhinoplasty, Liposuction, Tummy tuck, Vaginoplasty and Hymenoplasty are a few of the cosmetic procedures that are in vogue currently in many parts of the world.

Cosmetic surgery can cost a bomb and is not a permanent cure. Most people who get liposuction put on weight again - more so women. Exercise, eating in moderation and a healthy lifestyle will keep most people young. The genes can also play a role. The end of our telomerase may decide how fast we age.
