A maximum insurance of Rs. 2 lakhs is possible for Senior Citizens.

Star Health and Allied Insurance company offers a Senior Citizen Red Carpet policy that allows the maximum insurance of Rs. 2 lakhs. However when making a claim do remember that not all the claim maybe settled. To find out what percentage of claim the company will settle please go through the next sub-section of this article.

It Salient Features are as follows:

No pre-insurance medical screening test is required.

Minimum sum insured is Rs.100,000/- and Maximum sum insured is Rs.200,000/-

Star Health and Allied Insurance for Senior Citizen

For people aged between 60 and 69 years

Guaranteed renewals beyond 69 years

No pre-insurance medical test required

Treatment at network hospitals only

All pre-existing diseases are covered from first year, except those for which treatment or advice was recommended by or received during the immediately preceding 12 months from the date of proposal

Disease for which treatment or advice was recommended by or received during the immediately preceding 12 months from the date of proposal will be covered from second year onwards

Note: Please refer to the policy documents for the complete Insurance Policy subject to the insurance Company. This information is valid for 2009 – 2010.

Hi, On your web site you mention that the information is valid for the year 2009 - 2010. Request to up date the information in case Sr. citizen wants avail the cover.

hi, I have been having very bad experience in Star health insurance claims. In short, 1. They missed an important document 2. Spell mistakes in the DDs twice in a row !!! 3]more than two months now, and still not received the claim. So, better think twice before you go for it.
