Everyone who are planning to buy Health Insurance for their parents from STAR HEALTH should think twice, because the high premium which you would be paying would ultimately turn out to be a waste. I had done health Insurance for my Mom [Policy # P/15116/01/2013/003052] since 2011 without any claim for past 2 years. But when last month she had to be admitted to Hospital for High BP (Which was informed to the Star Health Agent at the onset during Insuring) they simply refused the claim saying she was a hearth patient for 30 years, Rediculous isn't it ! A chronic heart patient without any claim for 2-years ! Defies logic. Also a heart patient of 30 years still surviving at the age of 68 years ! ONly Star Health Insurance can understand this weierd logic, or should I say an excuse for not paying the claim. So friends beware if you are thinking of approaching Star Health for your Parents Medical Insurance !

I completely agree with the comments below about Star Health Insurance for senior citizens. Everyone who are planning to buy Health nsurance for their parents from STAR HEALTH should think twice, because the high premium which you would be paying would ultimately turn out to be a waste as you won't be able to claim a single penny. I had done health Insurance for my Mom [Policy # P/15116/01/2013/003052] since 2011 without any claim for past 2 years. At the time of taking the policy for my Mother in law they told me that no healthcheck is required [inspte of me having done the master health check for mother in law] i also told them that she has a Low BP and sugar they said no problem. Last week when mother in law had to undergo a pacemaker surgery they rejected the claim giving weired excuses (everyone i spoke with gave a different excuse) and finally they said we had not disclosed Hypothoiradism at the time of taking the policy so claim will be rejected....tried calling and speaking to them but no use.....These guys should not be allowed to cheat people .... -Parikshit Rana

hi, I have been having very bad experience in Star health insurance claims. In short, 1. They missed an important document 2. Spell mistakes in the DDs twice in a row !!! 3]more than two months now, and still not received the claim. So, better think twice before you go for it.
