Posted on: 09/09/2011 I have taken mediclaim policy 3 years back[completed]. My policy number is 261101/48/10/8500005264. I have a policy for Rs.2,00,000. Recently I had undergone surgery for acute apendicitis (Appendix). My total expenses was Rs.1,29,222.00(All proofs submitted in April 2011), however my claim was just settled to 1,00,000 (on 15th August 2011) stating the reason as "SUM INSURED RESTRICTED TO RS.1,00,000/- (ONE LAC ONLY) FOR PRESENT ILLNESS". I contacted my agent in Bank of India,Malad(W), Mumbai, he stated that I should get full claim. Hence I registered my grievance with National Insurance company on 27/08/2011 on their website, however I have still not received any reply.
I cant understand what is going on with the mediclaim procedure. It was better when it was cashless....Atleast we dont have to spend a single penny...We are not getting our own money? I would like to know the reason why my claim is not settled in full..
Please reply me at streamgservices@hotmail.com

Posted on: 07/27/2011 I purchased a swastha bima policy through the Bank of India, Purulia Branch [West Bengal]some four years back. I still advise my Bank to pay the annual premium in time. In the brochure it was mentioned that after 3 claimfree years all members were supposed to get free Health Check-ups of 1% of the policy amount. I contacted both the Bank and the local branch of NIC Ltd severally but they could not provide any information in this regard. We have already completed 4 years of claimfree continuation. Please advise me in this regard at the earliest and oblige. Thanx in advance.

Posted on: 05/21/2010 My father who suffered from Lymphoma, underwent chemotherapy both in 2007 and 2010. Last month he went through PET scan that indicates that he does not have cancer anymore. Can he opt for Varishta Health Policy? Will he be covered under the Critical Illness if he suffers from cancer in future? Kindly let me know as soon as possible.

Posted on: 05/20/2010 Dear Dassari, There are different policies for individual as well as for your family.you can take the policy for yourself and your family, but you cant transfer the same. The process is very easy.you just have to give your details and cheque or dd.the thing is that from pure health insurance you ll not get back your money.I ll suggest you to go for Apollo munich health insurance. |
