Varistha Mediclaim for Senior Citizens

This policy has been designed to cater to the needs of Senior Citizens.

Critical Illness cover is an optional cover under the policy. Diseases covered under Critical Illnesses are as under:

• Coronary Artery Surgery
• Cancer
• Renal Failure i.e. Failure for both kidneys
• Stroke
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Major Organ Transplants like kidney, Lung, Pancreas or Bone marrow
• Paralysis and blindness at extra premium

Sum Insured:  Sum Insured is fixed per person. Under Hospitalization & Domiciliary Hospitalization Cover sum Insured is Rs.1,00,000/- and under Critical Illness cover Sum Insured is Rs.2,00,000/-.

For fresh entrants to National Insurance above premium will be loaded by 10%. Under Mediclaim Section(Section I), if the insured intends to cover pre-existing diseases of Hypertension and/or Diabetes from the inception of the policy he/she has to pay additional premium @10% for either hypertension or diabetes & 20% for hypertension & diabetes for first year of the policy.  However, if a fresh entrant suffers from blood pressure/hypertension and/or diabetes and opts for Critical Illness cover, the same may be covered at additional premium @10% for either hypertension or diabetes & 20% for hypertension & diabetes provided no organ of the proposer is affected in consequence of blood pressure and/ or diabetes. If the medical report indicates occurrence of any such consequential complication, those proposals will be declined.

If i have Rs.100000 medical policy of national insurance through bank of india and Rs.125000 medical policy of other insurance company and my claim is 225000 then should i get claim of 100000 from national insurance and 125000 from other insurance ?

Dear Sir, I have few doubt, if you don’t mind 1. My wife is having pre-existing diabetic disease and we have normal mediclaim policy since 2013 and this is covered under the same policy, but this parivar mediclaim policy will cover the same diseases after three year. 2. Rate chart for zone II, III AND VI is not given. 3. Suppose my residence is in Korba but if I'll take the treatment at Delhi. What will the payable claim amount. 4. What will be the premium for 3 years, SI Rs 6,00,000/[ six lakhs], the age between 46-55( two persons) and three persons under age 6-17. with TPA and without maternity cover. 5. Whether medical check up required in this policy

I,Poonam Chaturvedi,tookmediclaim policy in March2013atB.O.B. Bareilly-which was renewed in2014.Again I paid premium on 5 May2015-but policy renewal and health card not recd. till date.premium was paid in Amritsar B.O.B.Branch. pl. help senior citizen. My add is changed from 1 June.
