I am a Mediclaim Policy holder for me and my wife since 18.06.2002. Initial premium was Rs9049.00 for Rs250000.00 cover each. The policy was renewed uninterrupted and for the period 18.06.2009 to 17.06.2010 the premium was Rs15923.00 for Rs250000.00 each with 30%NCB or Rs350000.00 each. In 2009 December I had to undergo an angioplasty. Hospital Bill Rs637679.11 and cashless claim settled for Rs350000.00. Policy renewed from 18.06.2010 to 17.06.2011 premium with 100% loading was Rs27565.00. Policy again renewed from 18.06.2011 to 17.06.2012 premium Rs41375.00 this time with 200% loading! Date of birth for self and wife is 29.10.1944 and 05.10.1948. Is New India Assurance justified in leveling 300% loading in two years? Thanks Capt Benjamin

Dear Sirs, I am a mediclaim policy holder since many years with your company. As my renewal date was nearing I thought of increasing the policy value. I am told by the agent that as you are above 60 [actually I am nearing 70], no increase in the value can be done. I wish to know why? I am healthy never have claimed a single rupee from you and by increasing the value I will have to pay larger premium. Pl. let me know if this is true or not? Thanks Dr. J.G.Bhatt Junagadh
