Hospital / Nursing Home
The term “Hospital/Nursing Home” shall not include an establishment which is a place of rest, a place for the aged, a place for drug-addicts, a place for alcoholics, a hotel or any similar place.
A hospitalization sought wherein a customer/policyholder who gets admitted purely for rest purpose is not eligible for re-imbursement. Admissions to old age homes, de-addiction centers (i.e. curbing addiction of substances such as opium, charas, ganja, brown sugar, gutkha, zarda, tobacco, alcohol etc) attract immediate repudiation of the claim.
Similarly admission to a hotel, holiday-home, holiday resort, Spa resort, Ayurvedic/Yoga/Naturopathy resort, Wellness Center etc. are not eligible for reimbursement.
