Wellness Centres & CGHS Dispensaries/Hospitals

Wellness Centre

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Medical Officers who are in-charge of the dispensaries or hospitals are solely responsible for proper and smooth working of dispensary or hospital as well as to ensure observance of orders that may be issued by the competent authority of CGHS from time to time.

Working hours of the Wellness Centre/polyclinic:

7.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M. on all working days (except Sunday and Public Holiday)

Additional and Limited Emergency Services (in Functional Dispensaries only) - 1.30 P.M.-7.30 A.M next day

On Sundays and Public holidays the service continues from 7.30 A.M to 7.30 A.M next day.

Registration Timings: The registration is stopped 15 minutes prior to the scheduled closing time of the dispensary. However, no patient who is seriously ill is sent back unattended in the dispensary.

Contact Details

All CMOs (Chief Medical Officers) who are in-charge of Wellness Centres are CPIOs (Central Public Information Officers).

I am central government employee. I am planning to preserve cord blood of my baby. Can i reimburse the cord blood banking charges under central government health scheme ??

I ,Janeshwar Dayal Tyagi ,retired as ITO from Delhi Income Tax Deptt . am CGHS beneficiary having cards for life ,but valid up to February 2015 .I applied for the renewal of the same on 19-12-2014 .My old card no is 2874014 [self ],2874019 (Mrs Bimlesh Tyagi ,Wife) ,2874017 ( Smt Angoori Tyagi ,Mother) . I have yet not received the new cards by post as was told at the time of applying that cards will be sent to us by post .My address is 1/9865 A ,street no.1 ,West Gorakh Park Shahadra ,Delhi -32 , with regards, Janeshwar Dayal Tyagi,

I am retired CGHS beneficiary, having the valid card. I am travelling abroad on valid documents. In case of medical emergency during my travel will I be entitled for reimbursement?

I PREMASRINIVASAN [70YEARS OLD]RETIRED FROM POSTAL DEPT WITH 35 YEARS SERVICE,RESIDING AT NON-CGHS COVER AREA, SUFERING FROM BLOOD PRESSURE, DIABITIC, AND ORTHO PROBLEM WITH VERTIGO. I AM SPENDING RS.2500/ PER MONTH FOR MEDICENE WHERE AS I AM GETTING MEDICAL ALLONCE RS.300 P/M ONLY. I REQUEST TO GOVT TO ISSUE CGHS CARD OR IMPLIMENT CGEPHIS PLAN.WHEN THE CGEPHIS PLAN WII IMPLIMENT I THINK AFTER MY DEATH ONLY

I am advised to obtain an essentially certificate for the drugs Jalra 50 mg twice a day and Lamosyn 100 mg twice a day which have to be used along with other drugs used to control diabetes. When the drugs are so important to control the diseases why cannot they be provided by CGHS and why essentiality certificate from NIMS or Gandhi Hospital at Hyderabad are insisted. Is there any form to obtain the essentially certificate?

CGHS Card has been issued in my favor under Kolkata Jurisdiction and availing such facility.Now Issuing of the Plastic CGHS Card is under process but the PIN No. of my residential address is modified recently by State GOVT.[KOLKATA-700157 in place of 700059],KOLKATA-700157 is not covered under CGHS Jurisdiction. How I can be able to get the Plastic Card as well as avail such facility.
