Important Facts:
v It is estimated that approx. 23.6 million people will succumb to Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD) by 2030.
v Tobacco usage increases the risk of death due to Coronary heart disease by 2 to 3 times.
v More that 50% of death of diabetic patients is attributed to cardiovascular disease.
v Risk of heart diseases in women increases by 2 to 3 time after menopause. Nearly 8.6 million women meet their death due to cardiac disease annually.
v Men with diabetes are at approx. five times higher risks for CVD than those without diabetes.
