I just had a biopsy this afternoon. I heard horror stories and stories of 'it is no big deal'. Right before the biopsy, as I was waiting frantically and anxiously, I asked the nurse what to expect. She said it isn't pleasant, but it feels like a really bad menstrual cramp plus some extra pain. That is exactly what it felt like. The doc told me everything as he did it, and there was cramping and some other pain that can be compared to a pap smear, maybe slightly worse. But not nearly as bad ...
