This test will be safer? Safer for whom? Don't you think the 90% abortion rate of unborn babies with Down syndrome is rather 'unsafe'?
I am raising a seven year old with Ds and she is a delightful challenge, just like her two older sisters. The only difference is her challenges are related to her chromosomes in a way we can diagnose. Where my teenagers get their personality quirks is anyone's guess!

It is good to see articles on LifeCell. I strongly recommend this company to all expectant mothers. We banked my new born niece's cord blood with LifeCell and they were very cooperative, prompt and helpful. They explained everything about stem cells and easily guided through the procedure. Very prompt and professional in their dealings, I definitely recommend LifeCell to all.
Cheers.

Tiger Woods Out of Sex Rehab by End of Week
It has now emerged that Tiger Woods will come out of a rehabilitation clinic and fly home with his wife Elin Nordegren by the end of this week.

Posted by CarmenL, United States

Elin Nordegren may still love Tiger Woods but she also knows that Tiger Woods’ issues are very serious and that only time will tell if he is truly committed to change. It is being reported in Europe that Elin has agreed to give Tiger Woods six months to prove himself. Elin is putting the divorce plans on hold for now. Elin knows well that she has a responsibility to herself and her children and that their life is too precious to spend it with someone that may not be worth it. I applaud Elin’s decision and wish her the best. Keep strong Elin, you are a true woman!

I'm glad someone is showing studies about this online. I have something like that. When I've been at work under the fluorescent lights or outside I get a rash across my cheeks, chin & forehead. People think I've been tanning & burned. I know I've been exposed too much when my eyelids start twitching & my brain stops working. I'll be walking thru Wal-Mart with a list in my hand & not be able to read it or remember what I just read. Then I get the flush, my cheeks feel numb & tingly at the same time & the next couple days my joints scream & my fibromyalgia (the only thing they can find wrong with me) flares up worse. I've been tested for autoimmune & lupus twice in the last year but nothing showed. I've read it takes up to 3 yrs sometimes for tests to pick it up. I don't have the purple eyelids and knuckles like they speak of here but it's related. Any ideas? I know there are more autoimmune diseases that flare up from UV rays but I'm not finding them online.

Breast Cancer In India Rising Rapidly

Posted by CancerPatient, Canada

I have to update you on the current treatments with breast cancer. I am a North American breast cancer patient and I can assure you treatment has changed greatly in the last 10 years and there is now usually a very good prognosis. Most women now eventually die of something else, other than their breast cancer. So it is no longer a "deadly disease" as long as it can be detected and treated in time. There are many effective treatments: surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and monoclonal antibody therapy. So your article does not give the true picture for at least the urban women in India. Women have the right to know about and ask for these treatments.

Posted by drdeshyogi, India

Thanks to the Hon, Health Minister Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad, core issue of rural health-care came to debate. we think he is the most able and efficient health minister. He has tackled the H1N1 pandemic in India very efficiently & effectively. While tackling the situation he has understood the ground realities of Indian Health Care System.

He has promptly tackled the opportunistic elements in the medical field, who were viewing the situation as opportunity.

Some were marketing masks, some were marketing ayurvedic capsules claiming research product & some big hospitals were giving false H1NI negative reports & treating the patients till he/she breaths last. The minister countered this " dukandari in medical field" promptly.

We have already sent our feelings regarding BRMS course. We are sure that he will take right decision in this regard without falling prey to any lobbying...
