Working from Home for Mothers With Three Children
A new report has revealed that women who have three children may not want to come back to full time work.

Even working from home or starting a home-business may not really be the solution.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has shown that 68% of mothers with two children have gone back to paid employment as against 55% of mothers with three children.

Ana Zhu, co-author of the paper “Mothers who have more children have greater responsibility for care. But the interesting thing that we also find is that even when the children have grown there’s still an effect. When the children get older you’d think those mothers with three children would be looking to get back into the workforce to be helping with things like school fees or university fees. yet it’s still the case they are less likely to be in the workforce.”

A certain diffidence sets in among mothers who decide to stay home and rear their children and this plays an important role in influencing many women who give up work life altogether.

It is also difficult to start a home based business with growing  children at home, as it can hamper concentration. It would be good if companies begin to offer flexible work options like part-time for mothers who want to make a come-back to work.
