Woman Suffering from Gigantism Finally Stops Growing for the First Time in a Decade
A 33-year old woman in Las Vegas who is suffering from gigantism revealed that she has finally stopped growing for the first time in 10 years.
Tanya Angus is suffering from a condition known as acromegaly, in which the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone.

Angus is currently 7 feet 4 inches tall and weighs over 400 pounds. She underwent three brain surgeries after doctors found a tumor pushing against the pituitary gland but they were not successful.

After continuous growth for nearly a decade, her mother Karin Strutynski, told news station KTNV that her daughter has finally stopped growing. “For the first time ever, Tanya’s blood level for her disease fits in the normal range. If we can keep her in the normal range, she may be able to stop growing. That means doctors could better manage her pain and possibly prolong her life. We can't reverse the damage, but we can stop it”, she said.
