Washington Post the Most Tweeted Newspaper in 2013

The most content-driven tweets in the year 2013 were reportedly by the newspaper Washington Post.

Searchmetrics analyzed average weekly tweets of newspaper content in 2013, it was found that The Washington Post generated 275,193 tweets per week, edging out the New York Times at 261,422 tweets per week.

The New York Post, with 13,532 mentions on the microblogging site came third last in the list of ten newspapers, while Chicago-Sun Times featured last with 4,982 tweets.
