Villarreal Football Club Fulfills 13-Year-Old Cancer Patient’s Dream of Playing for the Club
In an endearing gesture, Spanish football club Villarreal fulfilled a 13-year old cancer patient’s dream of playing for the club by selecting him in a friendly game and even allowing him to score a goal for the club.
Young fan Gohan, who has an aggressive form of cancer, had told nurses in hospital that his dream was to play for Villarreal at their El Madrigal stadium one day, Metro.co.uk reported.

The La Liga club heard about this, and in incredible scenes, allowed Gohan to start their friendly against Celtic.

The 13-year-old was given his own place in the dressing room, a squad number and even got a talking to from the manager before kicking the game off. He later went on to score a goal for them before being taken off to an amazing applause, the report added.
