United Kingdom: Pop Star Kelly, apart from lending her voice to woo the audience with soulful melodies, is now championing the cause of Breast cancer, with the authentic voice of personal experience. To give a push to the Breast Cancer Fund raising initiative in Staffordshire, England, Kelly, one of the invitees, sent in a personal message that spoke of her support to the cause.
The Breast Cancer Initiative, a women’s group that is spearheading the cause of Herceptin, a proven wonder drug for breast cancer. This drug is awfully expensive, Almost costing a whopping 70,000$ for year’s treatment, making it available only to the affluent. Therefore, the key agenda of the Breast Cancer Group is to petition the Government for a Subsidy in the pricing.Kelly who is still undergoing treatment in Australia, for Breast cancer, is believed to have used Herceptin in her fight against cancer. She could not personally make it to the event but sent in the personal message extending her support.
