Fire department stem cell donors felicitated with 'Honor Roll of Life'

Two Fire Department City of New York fire fighters will be honored with “Honor Roll of Life” for donating their bone marrow cells for saving Leukemia patients. The two Fire fighters John Jensen and Joe Kazlauskas donated their stem cells from bone marrow for treatment of two leukemia patients which helped to save their life.

The fire department is very proud in helping human lives as the department offices have donated more than 72 bone marrow cells which have helped to treat patients with leukemia, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and other blood disorders.

Brooke Williams 27 years was suffering from acute leukemia and also had a remission of the disease and after stem cell therapy with bone stem cells transferred from Jensen she recovered. Joe Kazlauskas also helped in donating bone marrow stem cells to 66 years old Hale suffering from chronic leukemia and both the patients with leukemia recovered from the disease after stem cell therapy from donor’s bone marrow stem cells from these both Fire fighters.
