Soccer club visit to turkey, cancelled
Bird flu has created so much havoc that even the sports side is affected. Turkey, which has had 3 deaths in this month and people, avoid traveling to Turkey.

The Romanian government has asked people to avoid traveling to bird flu hit areas. Though Romania was severely affected by bird flu in 23 villages there was no single human case.

Four Romanian soccer clubs, which had previously planned to do their winter training, had selected other venues due to the bird flu scare.

Poli Timisoara, Rapid Bucharest, FC Vaslui and Dinamo Bucharest are the four soccer clubs who now plan to travel to Cyprus, Italy and Spain.

But Gloria Bistrita, the first division club despite the bird flu scares plans to go to Antalya, Turkey. The club manager said that the team members would refrain from consuming any poultry meat there at turkey.

Tests have shown that 18 members are affected with bird flu in turkey and reported three deaths. The deaths were all due to the deadly strain H5N1 strain and people who contracted the disease were all in close association with the infected birds.
