China reports seventh bird flu victim

The first Chinese outbreak of H5N1 bird flu infection occurred from Qinghai Lake during May of this year and this thursday the Chinese officials have confirmed the seventh death in china due to Bird flu infection. The seventh victim, Zhou was a 41 year old women factory worker of Sanming City who was hospitalized after showing symptoms of fever and pneumonia, who had an initial H5N1 virus test negative. The Chinese health minister said that no bird flu virus strain was isolated from poultry in Sanming city and after this incident the city officials are monitoring all poultry fields and all people who had close contacts with Zhou are monitored for cold symptoms.
