Exercise to children's with congenital disease beneficial

Study shows that Cardiac rehabilitation program with safe and tolerable exercise can be given to children's with serious congenital heart disease which help them to have a better heart function. The study was conducted in Children's Hospital, Boston under the supervision of Cardiologist, Jonathan Rhodes.

The study was conducted in 16 children's between the age group of 8 to 17 with severe congenital heart disease and were given a cardiac rehabilitation with exercise and play games for 12 weeks. The study shows that after the study period the children showed an increase heart function with good peak rate, good pumping of blood for each beat and increased oxygen consumption in more than two-thirds of children.
