Even science proves that food is better than any medication. Foods which are rich in calcium better than supplements says a new study .

195 healthy girls aged 10 to 12 were studied, their calcium intake was less than 900 mg a day. A random assignment of girls in 1,000 mg calcium tablets, 1000 mg calcium plus 200 IU vitamin D tablets, or low-fat cheese with 1000 mg of calcium or placebo tablets was made by Dr. Sulin Cheng and colleagues from the University of Jyvskyl in Finland, who are the reserachers.

"Increasing calcium intake by consuming cheese appears to be more beneficial for cortical bone mass accrual than the consumption of tablets containing a similar amount of calcium," was the analysis of the researchers.

On considering individual growth speed, none of the supplements, calcium tablets or calcium-rich cheese helped bones. this indicates that on supplying excess calcium through diet body does not absorb the extra!
