Erweka Germany is setting up a new pharmaceutical company in India in the name of Erweka India Pvt Ltd to be based at Ahmedabad. Erweka has started manufacturing 50 years ago in Germany and today is world leader in testing equipment. Erweka, Germany, one of the biggest manufacturer - Supplier of testing and R&D equipment to phamaceutical industries worldwide has a strong brand name in the Indian pharmaceutical Industry for the its precisions and accuracy.
At present it plans to start with importing from Germany and later stage to manufacture in India. This will be 9th company of the group. Erweka has companies in Germany, Switzerland, USA, UK, France, Poland, Italy and now in India.The main products of the company are all purpose equipment, dissolution tester, disintegration tester, tablet friabillity tester, peristallitic pumps, samplers, inhalers and weighing systems. The decision to form a company in India has been taken after evaluating other options like China and Brazil. As India has a high potential and the Indian pharma industry is poised to take a big leap. Already all major pharmaceutical companies in India has started giving more attention towards basic product R&D and are going to need most accurate, proven and highly advance equipment.
The Indian operation is very important for the company as it is not going to be only marketing company. Once the manufacturing starts the price of lots of products shall come down substantially, of course all the critical parts shall continue to came from Germany just to ensure the known quality.
