Ebola-like virus is on the way to cause epidemic in Angola

As the death toll from the virus like Ebola rises in the country of Angola, people had been warned not to visit the country in Africa for at least a week.

The number of people who are affected by the virus till date is 132. According to the statistics available at World Health Organization, the two third of those affected by the virus are children.

The virus which was first identified in 1967 is said to cause nausea, stomachaches, vomiting and diarrhea. Later on it may have symptoms of pains in the thoracic region, severe internal bleeding and may even lead to death.

Ebola and similar virus are very much like HIV and like it had also been known to be transmitted from monkeys. Although they are still date limited to Africa in their attacks, these viral infections spread very fast and some of them are known to cause death in 90% of the people affected by them.

The virus may spread by sharing needles, or by personal contacts. The symptoms will appear a few days after contracting the disease. With flu like symptoms the virus can affect the major organs like liver, kidneys, spleen and reproductive organs.
