New Laser Techniques cure degeneration of the eye
Latest Laser techniques are being developed on a daily basis. One of these latest laser techniques is helpful in the treatment of those suffering from a degenerative eye condition. This degenerative condition cause blood vessels to grow underneath the retina and leak fluid, causing scarring and loss of vision.

Eye specialists have come up with a new therapy called the Photodynamic Therapy, which has a lower risk rate of damaging the retinal tissue.

This is a two-step process, a combination of a drug and brief exposure to a laser. This therapy is not a total cure, but it halts the progression of the disease. This treatment is quite expensive, since it requires trained skills.

Doctors feel, the key to successful treatment is early self-diagnosis. This is effective, when doctors recommend patients to visit an optometrist or eye specialist if they notice any change in the clarity of their vision.
