A Russian health official said their country has its first known case of SARS. A man in the town on border with chin have shown signs of SARS virus. Health officials sent sent lab samples to Moscow to determine whether he has the virus. However the health ministry said analysis had not yet confirmed the diagnosis. After the man's hospitalization with SARS-like symptoms, authorities in the Amur region, which has a booming cross-border trade, closed off all travel between the region and China. Even the hotel the man stayed was quarantined. Russian aviation officials have ordered airlines and cargo carriers on Thursday to suspend reservations on flights to mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, in connection with concerns about the spread of SARS. They also warned of a complete halt of operations. Training on disinfecting the planes, isolating the casualties and practising evacuation were also dealt with.
