Vietnam Gets First International Standard Vaccine Plant
Vietnam's first vaccine manufacturing plant meeting international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards was inaugurated reported the Central Epidemic Prevention Institute.

The US$33 million plant, located in Hanoi, can make vaccines against hepatitis B, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, diarrhea, and typhoid.

The Republic of Korean government loaned the project $28.4 million.

GMP is a set of regulations, codes, and guidelines for the manufacture of drugs and drug products, medical devices, and foods.

Generally, it is a term recognized worldwide for the control and management of manufacturing and quality control testing of pharmaceutical products.
