And You Thought the Inner Cities Were Healthier….
Inner city dwellings were thought to be far cleaner and healthier as compared to the industrial towns. But British researchers say this is not true- inner cities are a haven for unhealthy habits and diseases.

Market analysts CACI and TNS analyzed smoking and disease rates and dietary habits to understand the unhealthiest places in England, Wales and Scotland. The analysis revealed that towns such as Merthyr Tydfil in Wales happened to be least healthy with bad diets and high smoking rates.

What is worse is that bad diets and unhealthy lifestyles are ingrained from very young, akin to a time bomb, waiting to explode.

Researcher Ian Thurman said: "The danger for the NHS is that this group could be presenting itself with poor health at a relatively young age. It looks like we have got a set of attitudes to food that look fairly entrenched in terms of fast food and high levels of fat. The NHS is already overburdened, but this is nothing compared to the time bomb that is set to explode if people don't make major changes to their current lifestyles."
