The dentists are concerned about the exposure to fluoride at such a tender age might be disastrous as instead of protecting teeth it might permanently damage them, apart from which it might cause hypothyroidism, lead to weakened bones and even bone cancer boys.

This advice is not noticed by many though. The nations leading fluoridated water for kids, Nursery water is continuing to market the product at leading retailers.

It is a request to who ever receiving this information to pass on the message.

Even as more and more is added to the existing evidence on the harmful effects of fluoride, it is a great pity that in India there is no curb on the addition of fluoride to toothpastes and mouthwashes. In fact, ALL international brands of toothpastes (e.g. Colgate, Pepsodent, Close-up) invariably have added fluoride, and only the fully indigenous brands (e.g., Neem, Himalaya Herbals's "Dental Cream") are free of it. The medical fraternity in India ought to take serious notice and work for banning fluoride-containing toothpastes.
