Mock Exercise Conducted to Combat Potential Public Health Crisis
Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland have conducted their first exercise in emergency vigilance that also measures reaction time in the event of a public health crisis.

Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food Dr York Chow has expressed optimism that the exercise was a success, which has strengthened the communication and partnership between the three jurisdictions.

The exercise measured their emergency response and notification strategies to handle potential health crises. Nearly 40 public health professionals participated in the mock exercise portraying an assumed avian flu infection in humans.
