A total of 4,098 patients with symptoms similar to those of dengue fever had been admitted to different hospitals across Pakistan till Saturday, said a press release issued by the health ministry.
The total number of patients declared positive for dengue virus across the country now stands at 1,487, said the press release.A total of 37 deaths have occurred from dengue fever across the country, 35 from Sindh province and two from North West Frontier Province.
As many as 619 patients have been admitted to different hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The total number of positive cases of dengue virus in the twin cities now stands at 226.
