Doctors have cautioned against the use of party pills amid growing concerns about their safety.
The Medical Association has warned that party pills could trigger seizures, unfounded fears and even hypothermia. The Chairman of the association, Ross Boswell has explained about a latest finding on the potentially lethal side effects of party pills. Almost one in five users needs emergency care to survive the effects of such pills.

The active ingredient in the pills, BZP, initially manufactured as a de-worming medication for cattle, was discontinued due to the adverse reactions. Ross Boswell has warned that, untill the pill is proved safe, it would be best if people avoided use of the pill.
