Nasal sprays are being used for safe and effective delivery of drugs for a number of conditions. According to researchers at the Mayo clinic say that familiarity should be present with the use of nasal sprays to treat allergies such as hay fever.

A nasal spray is a good way of delivering a drug, because it gets into the bloodstream fast through mucous membranes in the nasal area. The drug will, in fact, act quicker than the corresponding pill. Nasal sprays are already being used in the treatment of osteoporosis, migraine and diabetes.

Many more applications are being developed. Nasal sprays are an ideal alternative when pills and injections aren't a practical option and will be welcomed by the many people who hate to have a needle stuck in them.
