A recent report released, based on the study conducted by epidemiologists of Dupont & Co., shows that there is no significant increase in mortality risk among the workers at DuPont who are exposed to the chemical perfluorooctanoic acid, the key component of the material Teflon.

The study at The Wilmington, Del., science company definitely reveals lower mortality rates than West Virginia and the general US population.Similarly the results showed consistency with the mortality rates collected from research conducted among workers of the other DuPont plants.

This company which still faces a litigation and a class action suit this December, contends that toxicity of perfluorooctanoic acid, upon humans is yet to be proven.
