Humans Genetically More Suited To Being Vegetarians Than Meat-eaters
The discovery that humans are genetically more suited to being vegetarians than meat-eaters is among the findings that is being discussed in Queenstown conference by more then 300 leading scientists from New Zealand and overseas. The working of a human cell and finding a cure for cancer is also under discussion at the conference.

Massey University's professor, Jeremy Hyams, the Convener of the conference says the finding that a human is more suited to being a herbivore is one of the outcomes of rapidly increasing understanding of how human cells work.

He says technology has enabled molecular biologist to investigate how a human cell works and to know all the players, which makes a cell cancerous, and has enabled the scientist to get a step closer to find a cure of cancer.

New Zealand scientists are at the leading edge of a research to find a cure of cancer, however, Professor Hyams says that it would be some time yet before a cure for cancer is found.
