Three New Contraceptives Introduced by HLL
Hindustan Latex Ltd (HLL), the largest condom manufacturing unit in the country, is all set to launch three new contraceptives.

"It includes a vibrating ring plus a condom, a three-in-one dotted ribbed condom and an injectable contraceptive for women," said HLL chairman cum managing director M. Ayyappan to reporters here, Friday.

Initially all these products would be imported and depending on the demand HLL would produce them.

"The injectable contraceptive is an injection and would cost Rs.125 and for three months the women is safe. We are importing that from South Africa," he said.

He said the response to the female condom that is presently marketed by them in Bangalore is encouraging and they propose to market it in other areas.
