AdvertisementTerming Venugopal's removal as "arbitrary and inappropriate" the medicos said the strike was "symbolic and we have no intention to cause any hardship to the patients".
In Indore, the strike affected patients at the state's biggest M Y Hospital as many of them were unaware of the stir by the junior doctors.
Junior Doctors' Association (JDA) state General Secretary Anand Rai told PTI in Indore that the strike was total in Indore, Bhopal and Gwalior, while junior doctors in Jabalpur and Rewa plan to strike work tomorrow.
