Two persons died of gastroenteritis and diarrhoea and 55 others were afflicted with the disease in Chhajli village in the Sunam sub-division .

The deaths of an eight-year-old boy and aged woman and illness of others were reported yesterday amidst apprehensions of an outbreak of cholera. Medical teams were pressed into service today.
