There is no need for a malaria hospital in Kolkata as here the disease has been contained said Dr P L Joshi, Director of National Vector Born Disease Control Programme.
Speaking at an all-India seminar on dengue and malaria, Joshi said last year in Kolkata only person died of Malaria whereas in Bombay the number in the corresponing year was 73.Reprentatives of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand Orissa, Assam and Pondichery participated in the seminar.
