Assam CM Admitted At AIIMS Due To Dehydration

The Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi had today undergone treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for dehydration .

Sources close to him explained that Gogoi, who had returned to India yesterday, after a 12-day tour of Europe and Canada, was taken to AIIMS as he had complained of uneasiness.

Doctors who had attended on Gogoi at the AIIMS said that he was suffering from dehydration. The Chief Minister has been advised rest, and so he had postponed his plan to return to Assam and will be doing so today.

Gogoi, who also holds the finance portfolio of the state, had gone to London on June 1, leading a delegation of finance ministers of various states of the country to study the European financial and taxation system. They had also visited Italy and Canada during the tour.
