Glaucoma Camp Held

Madurai, June 4. A free glaucoma medical camp was organized by the Aravind Eye Hospital here today to mark the International Glaucoma Week.

According to a press release from the hospital, glaucoma would affect people above 40. There was a possibility of diabetic, blood pressure and myopia patients contracting this disease.

There would not be any symptoms for the patients affected by this disease and complete vision can be protected only if a treatment was taken at the beginning of the disease.

Those who lose vision due to this disease cannot regain it, the release added.
