Medicos Call Off Strike In Punjab, Haryana And Chandigarh
Medicos across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh tonight called off their nearly fortnight-long strike against Centre's move to reserve seats for OBCs in elite educational institutions.

A decision to this effect was taken at the general body meeting of Association of Resident Doctors of the Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research here tonight, Dr Subh Mohan Singh of Youth for Equelity - spearheading the protest - told reporters here.

He said the medicos had taken the decision in the light of Supreme Court's observation on the issue.

Singh, however said the movement against the reservation policy of the UPA government would continue 'within constraints'.
