Joint Research by IIT-K and GSVM

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-K) and the Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Medical College have entered into an agreement to carry out joint research in bringing medical knowledge and technology that would be of wider interest to all sections of society.

The two institutes have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard on Wednesday for increased collaboration on several fronts.

The heads of the two institutions have planned to seek assistance from each other at both graduate and the postgraduate level in addition to conducting seminars, conferences and short-term courses.

The MoU has also planned to include sharing of information about the faculty, laboratories, library materials, research publications and to exchange information relating to developments in teaching and researches.

Promoting the generation of research funds through multi-dimension collaborative research grant application are also some of the terms of the agreement.

The MoU signing agreement witnessed the presence of IIT-K Director Dr Sanjay G Dhande, Dean, Research and Development, Dr SC Srivastava, Dr Pradip Sinha, Dr Rajat Moona, Dr Harish Karnik, Dr Mukesh Sharma , S Ganesh, Asima Pradhan, Ashok Kumar and visiting Fulbright scholar from University of Texas medical branch, United States, Sanjiv Sur.

Representing the GSVM were Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi M Medical College, dean and principal Dr SS Katiyar, Dr SN Singh, Dr Asha Agarwal, Dr BD Mangal, Dr Suschil Chandra and Dr VN Tripathi on the occasion.
