Restless Legs Syndrome or the shaking leg syndrome is a common type of disorder in which the patient develops tingling and itching sensation in their legs. For the first time Europe has approved the drug to be sold to treat the disorder. It affects the nerves and causes aches and pains. Statistics show that about 10% of the people are affected by this disorder.

The license was given by the European Medicines Agency. As of now it is used to treat mild to moderate or severe cases of RLS. But British authorities still have not approved the drug. At present there are no medications to treat the disorder in UK. Researchers say that this disease affects those who rarely exercise and those who are highly diabetic. People affected by this disorder usually suffer in the night resulting in involuntary leg movements.
