Venom of Deadly Spider Offers Quick Remedy for Erectile Dysfunction

A team of Brazilian and American researchers has found that the venom from one of the world’s deadliest spider can cure erectile dysfunction in just 20 minutes. While erectile dysfunction pills such as Viagra and Cialis are highly popular, nearly a third of their users claim that they either do not work or come with a number of side effects.

Now researchers have found that the venom of Brazilian Wandering Spider improve the blood flow into the penis by dilating the blood vessels thanks to the increased release of nitric oxide.

“Nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity in aged and young cavernosal tissue was increased by incubation with PnTx2-6. The decrease in erectile function associated with age was partially restored 15 to 20 minutes after injection with PnTx2-6”, the researchers wrote in their report.
