Twitter User's Comments on Anorexia Condemned

It beggars all belief that after Isabelle Caro offered her horrendous and pathetic image as a warning against Anorexia Nervosa, there could be a Kenneth Tong who talks of “managed anorexia.”
Tong, a former Big Brother contestant in the UK flippantly remarked on Twitter, “Proudly endorsing managed anorexia. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.”

Rightly condemned by celebrities like Simon Cowell, Sophia Bush and Rihanna, Tong does not realize that Anorexia cannot be ‘managed’. It is a psychiatric illness that besets mostly young women, sometimes as young as fourteen, who refuse to eat to maintain a healthy body weight. There are no proven therapies in managing or curing the illness. For those who suffer from its relentless grip, like Caro, it is a living death – most often followed by death itself.

Rihanna, in her condemnation, stated, “Girls are dying all over the world because of ignorant individuals like this@MrKenneth Tong.”

It is not ignorance. It is criminal stupidity.
