Parents are always open to more information about ways to boost physical activity levels in their children.

Television viewing, in this context, has always been viewed negatively, as a bad influence in encouraging couch potato behavior in kids.

A new study seeks to question this thought process while also adding that TV viewing can actually encourage kids' activity levels, especially if they watched sport on television.

Parents might not actually restrict the child from watching television, if the child is physically active. On the contrary, a sedentary child watching a good lot of TV  will surely be frowned upon.
