Tired of Cooking and Eating, Man Cooks Up a Nutritional Sludge
Rob Rhinehart, a 24-year-old software engineer, just got tired of eating. Cooking was taking him a really long time, so he got inspired to make a nutrient sludge so that he just doesn’t need to cook or eat again.
He is also of the opinion that a complete healthy meal is quite impossible as we would be compromising on atleast one vital ingredient for the other. For instance, there are some disadvantages to consuming only protein or only fruit diet; the latter may have excess sugar. Some foods do not enable the required amount of protein. Some foods will be high on carbs. And worse, all this could be costly too.

Not to forget, that preparing food is a time consuming job. So keeping all his on mind, Rhinehart targeted on making a nutrient sludge which ahs the right amounts of vital nutrients. He named it Soylent.

Soylent has all that is required for a balanced diet, but only with 1/3rd of the calories and minus all the food additives, which is a big plus. Maybe he has a solution for all our weight watchers or stress torn people who do not have the time to make food or eat it.
