The Young Employees Bogged Down by Stress
Feeling bogged down with too much to do, or feeling stressed out may now sound clichéd but it seems to be gripping many of the younger workforce.
According to data, many of the young employees call in and report sick just to take a breather from work.

It is observed that the younger lot is having a tough time coping with work anxiety. Many are crumbling under the pressure to perform.

Dr Ian Drever, consultant psychiatrist at The Priory Group, said, “Younger people may be more stressed due to their job roles being more time pressured, having greater expectations upon them to climb the career ladder and cope with numerous demands in more challenging economic times.

“Secondly, young people may now feel more comfortable with signaling that they are under stress, and reporting it in the workplace. They may also be more aware of the signs of stress in themselves - such as disrupted sleep or diminished cognitive performance - so can recognise it at an earlier stage, and then flag this up within the work environment.”
